Flourtown, PA -  The La Salle University golf team completed first day action at the Big 5 Classic held at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.

Wes Licklider was the top Explorer coming in with a score of 87.

Also competing were Steve Sieracki (89), Matt Mazzolla (90), Phil Bruce (90) and Mike Bensinger (92).

The event, consisting of 82 golfers, representing 15 teams - inclduing all five Big 5 schools as well as Drexel - continues Sunday morning.
