PHILADELPHIA, PA - La Salle held on strong to the #7 ranking in the latest Mid-Atlantic region United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll this week. Senior Rachel Papin (Philadelphia, PA) finished 12th overall at the Penn State Invitational on Friday in 21:31 to lead the blue and gold in another strong showing.
La Salle remained as the highest seeded Atlantic 10 team in the standings, as Duquesne (10th) was the only other A-10 team to make the poll.
Other top finishers for the Explorers at Penn State included: senior Carolyn Lipovsky (Edison, NJ) at 24th-place in 21:45, senior Christa Plummer (Quakertown, PA) at 29th-place in 21:48.
The Explorers take this week off to prep for the A-10 Championships, held in Philadelphia on October 27th at Belmont Plateau in Fairmount Park.
