PHILADELPHIA, PA- Bill Kieser is used to spending his afternoons on the Schuylkill River, but after Wednesdays Boat dedication in Kieser's honor, Bill will look at the water a little differently. Bill "Curt" Kieser '52, was one of La Salle's finest oarsmen of his time, provides Larry Connell and the members his crew with new high tech equipment.

The fall of 2007 will bring a fresh start for the rowers at La Salle University for Kieser donated a brand new Resolute z8 Racing Shell. Last week Kieser was honored on beautiful boathouse row with a traditional boat christening. The C.W. Kieser '52 will be rowed among the men and women of La Salle University Rowing team for many years to come.

"It is a true blessing to have Kieser as part of the La Salle family" states Pete D'Orazio, Associate Athletic Director of La Salle University. "You can see his passion for the sport and his support to his alma mater that allows the program to continue growing."

The ceremony took place recently at Fairmount Boat Cub. Kieser was accompanied by his former rowers, close friends and family as well as the men and women of La Salle Rowing team who will prosper thanks to Kieser's generosity.
