Junior midfielder/forward Brian Barry (Arnold, MD) scored his first goal of the season just five minutes into the start of the match off a pass on the left side of the goal from sophomore midfielder Jim Guntle (Great Falls, VA) to go up 1-0 against the Bucknell Bison Tuesday evening. In the next 85 minutes the Explorers (2-5-1) would not find a go-to man as they eventually fell 2-1 to Bucknell.

The first Bison goal came at 25:51 in the first half, as Mark Schmiegel drove a hard shot past Explorer goalkeeper Andrew Bernhard (Lancaster, PA) to tie it at 1-1. The Bison would take the lead and never look back at 63:37 with Justin Wolf's fourth goal of the season.

Bernhard had five saves in net for La Salle.

The Explorers head to Philadelphia rival Temple on Saturday, October 6th for a Soccer Seven battle that kicks off at 2:00 PM.
