The La Salle volleyball team has announced it will be one of the participating schools in the 2007 Dig for the Cure to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Founded in 2003, Dig for the Cure is a campaign to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research while providing a united community service project for the entire volleyball community.
On November 9th, the Explorers will do their part by raising money for every dig they record against Fordham.
The team will be accepting pledges throughout the month of October.
Last season, the Explorers were one of the participating programs from the Atlantic 10 that combined to raise $22,897.84. As a conference, the A-10 was second only to the Atlantic Coast Conference in total money raised.
