PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University Women's Basketball team cruised to an easy 82-48 victory over the M.I. Express, Wednesday night at Tom Gola Arena, behind 14 made three-point baskets.
Each hitting three from behind the line was junior Tara Lapetina (3-for-4, nine points), sophomore Jamie Walsh (3-for-3, 13 points), and freshman Ashley Gale (3-for-4, 11 points).
The game-high went to senior Carlene Hightower, who ended the night with 20 points (2-for-4 from three), and added team-highs with nine rebounds and six assists.
Senior Alyse Hoover also filled out the stat sheet with six points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
M.I. Express' Ashley Bowman scored a team-high 14 points, while Ebony Cherry grabbed a game-high 10 boards.
La Salle will open its regular season with a home game against Big-5 rival Villanova on Friday, Nov. 9 at Tom Gola Arena.
