Philadelphia, PA- La Salle junior goalie Andrew Bernhard (Lancaster, PA) has been named the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference's (ECAC) 'Defensive Player of the Week' for the week ending on October 29th after leading the Explorers to two wins in A-10 competition over the weekend.

The junior has already earned A-10 'Co-Player of the Week' and Philadelphia Soccer Seven Honor Roll awards as he made 23 stops and allowed just one goal as his Explorers took Duquesne down 2-1 on Friday, then held Saint Bonaventure scoreless in a 1-0 shutout.  The shutout was Bernhard's first of the season.  He boasts a 1.39 goals allowed average and has 52 saves on the season.
