After both teams played to a 0-0 draw in the first half, Kelly Dougherty got the scoring barrage underway 15 minutes into the second frame, as she fired a shot from the edge of the circle past Ram goalkeeper M.J. Britt, giving La Salle a 1-0 advantage.

For Doughertly, it was her second goal of the season.

The Explorer defense had a strong second half, limiting the Rams to just four shots in the period.
