PHILADELPHIA - In its last event of the fall season, La Salle University Rowing put eight boats in the water at Saturday's Frostbite Regatta on the Schuylkill River. Two boats - the Women's Lightweight Four and the Men's Varsity Eight - raced to second-place finishes.

The Women's Four finished in a time of 8:17.26 just four seconds behind the winner Lafayette, who won in 8:13.16, while the Men's Eight stopped the clock in 6:25.15, seven seconds behind winner Binghamton (6:18.41).

Also highlighting the day was the Men's Frosh/Novice Eight's third-place finish. They crossed the line in 7:07.5, just two seconds behind second-place finisher Lehigh (7:05.1).

Other Explorer boats racing on Saturday were the Men's Frosh/Novice Four (sixth, 7:24.88), the Men's JV Eight (fourth, 6:44.85), the Women's College Four (fifth, 8:41.31), the Men's College Four (fifth, 7:51.70), and the Women's Varsity Eight (fifth, 7:31.06).
