Grant Chin took first place in both the 1000-yard freestyle and 200-yard IM to lead the La Salle men's swimming and diving team in a 168-130 loss against St. Bonaventure on Saturday afternoon. The Explorers fall to 3-1 on the year.

Chin won gold in both events, clocking in at 10:01.31 in the 1000-yard freestyle and 1:57.68 in the 200-yard IM. The senior also took second in the 200-yard butterfly (1:58.39).

Stuart Barr claimed a narrow victory in the 100-yard backstroke (54.01) and took second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.28), while Brandon Hargraves claimed the Explorers' other first-place finish, winning the gold in the 500-yard freestyle (4:54.09).

La Salle's 400-yard freestyle relay team of John Welsh, Owen Black, Chris Cefalo and David Ellerson took first place with a time of 3:12.56.

The Explorers host Delaware and Rider in a dual-meet next Saturday at Kirk Pool.
