Head Coach Dave Stever has announced the addition of Alex Kennedy to the La Salle volleyball squad for the 2008 season.

 

Kennedy, a four-year starter at Wyomissing Area High School, is the school's all-time leader in both kills and blocks. She racked up 958 career kills and 191 career blocks, and also holds the single-season records for both categories, with 347 kills and 71 blocks.

 

The Wyomissing, PA native posted a hitting percentage of .280 her senior year and was named All-County in 2007. She also earned All-District Honorable Mention her sophomore and junior seasons.

 

In addition to competing at Wyomissing, she plays for the Philadelphia Volleyball Academy club team.  

 

Kennedy is active in the school community, serving as a member of the Service Club, Big Spartan/Little Spartan program, and also tutors. She is a member of the National Honors Society and was named to the 2007 Scholastic Honor Roll.  She expects to major in psychology at La Salle.
