PHILADELPHIA, PA- La Salle Athletes have been instructing team clinics throughout the fall semester. This time it was Lacrosse's turn to educate the Logan Elementary School kids the basics of their sport. The gym class was packed with drills and games that taught the kids different fundamentals, skills, and techniques used during lacrosse games and practices.
Recently lacrosse was introduced to the PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association) as one of the new sports. Mark Gillinger, the Logan gym instructor, thought it would be a great idea to start teaching the students about the game. Gillinger said, "Only a few schools in the city are teaching lacrosse, but I found that the kids love it".
