QUIGLEY IS AN ALL-AMERICAN AGAIN

TERRE HAUTE, IN - La Salle senior Sean Quigley earned All-America distinction after placing 15th out of 250 competitiors at the 2006 NCAA Cross Country Championships at Indiana State.

Quigley finished the 10K race in a time 31:20.0 and his 15th-place finish was the highest ever of a La Salle runner at the NCAA's. Last season, the Braintree, MA, native finished 29th overall en route to becoming the program's first-ever cross country All-American.

Quigley earned Most Outstanding Performer honors at the 2006 A-10 Championship after defending his individual title with a time of 24:39.9 on the 8K course. The Explorers captured the men's title for the fifth time in six years.

In the women's event, La Salle senior Rachel Papin placed 72nd out of 253 competitors in the 6K event with a time of 21:52.6. A two-time NCAA qualifier, Papin is the league's lone three-time women's champion and led La Salle to three consecutive Atlantic 10 Championships.
