PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Fans are reminded that Saturday's men's basketball game against George Washington will tip off at 12:00 PM.
This game time change was made just after the start of the season to accomodate CSTV Networks (seen in the Philadelphia region on Comcast SportsNet) who will televise the game.
The 2007 La Salle University Hall of Athletes induction ceremony will take place shortly after the conclusion of the game.This year the school honors four athletes for the athletic accomplishments while attending La Salle: Eric Buhain ('91), Troy Harry ('98), Allison Hudson ('87), and Toniann Razzi ('00).
Buhain was a three-time MAAC Champion in the four separate swimming events; the 200 individual medley, 400 individual medley, 100 and 200 butterfly. He qualified for three other events, and was voted MAAC Outstanding Swimmer in 1989, 1990, and 1991. In 1988 and 1992 he swam in the Olympics for the Philippines.
Harry won back-to-back championships for the one mile run in 1996-97, as well as winning the 3K and 4x800, setting a La Salle record for the mile with a time of 4:05.08. In 1997 he was named Atlantic 10 Most Outstanding Performer.
Donohoe was named to the MAAC Women's Basketball All-Tournament Team in 1986. She then earned First Team All-Big 5 and MAAC First Team All-Conference in 1987. SHe lead the team in points and rebounds in 1987, and was inducted into the Big 5 Hall of Fame 10 years later.
Toniann Razzi held eight school records at the time of her graduation in 2001. She was a two-time A-10 Conference Outstanding Performer, won six championships in track & field, and was a two-time NCAA Academic All-American in 1998 and 2001.
The Hall of Athletes Ceremony is being held immediately following the George Washington game at the Blue and Gold Dining Commons and is open to the public. Tickets are available for $25 a person by calling 215-951-1535.
