La Salle field hockey senior Amy Comstock will be honored by the Psychology Department Thursday evening at the Grimes Lecture. Comstock is the recipient of this year's Senior Service Award.
Theaward is given to the member of each class "who demonstrates the highest level of service to others.
On the field this year, Comstock led the Explorers with 14 points, including six goals and two assists. She competed in all 20 games for La Salle and started in 19.
Comstock also netted the game-winning goal against Lehigh in a 1-0 overtime victory.
Teammate Kara Harpel, will also be honored as the recipient of the Freshman Service Award. Active in community service, Harpel participates in the Big Brother/Big Sister program, assists at the Argentina Orphanage serivce and volunteers with the Christmas Eve gift deliverty to children with parents in prison.
On the field, Harpel competed in all 20 games and started in 10. An offensive threat, Harpel tied for second on the team in scoring with 12 points, including six goals.
