PHILADELPHA, PA - La Salle University head football coach Tim Miller released the 2007 Spring Football Schedule on Wednesday afternoon.

 

The Explorers will have their first practice on Saturday, March 24th.  There will be 13 other practices throughout the month leading up to the 10th annual Blue & Gold spring game which will be held at McCarthy Stadium on April 21st.  Kickoff for the spring game is scheduled for 1:00PM.

 

"Our players have been working unbelievably hard this winter and we are looking forward to getting back out on the field," said Miller.  "We will have a great deal of competition this spring trying to replace the seven starters we will lose to graduation." 

 

Coach Miller and the staff were not hired until late in March 2006.  Because of this, the freshman class was smaller than usual.  Even with the small class size, 10 freshmen had starting roles during the 2006 season.  With the small class size and several Explorer football players involved in track & field, the spring roster will be fewer in numbers than future years.

 

The Explorer football program will be bringing in 35 new recruits in the Fall (check goexplorers.com in the future for the announcement of the 2007 recruiting class).
