PHILADELPHIA, PA - Junior Running back Jarryd Anderson will represent La Salle student-athletes at the NCAA National Leadership Conference in Lake Buena Vista, Fl from May 27th through May 31st. Anderson will be among 350 student athletes representing colleges and universities from around the country and every division of the NCAA in attendance.

"It is an honor to represent La Salle at the NCAA Leadership Conference," says Anderson about being named La Salle representative. "I feel that being a representative at the leadership conference is a great step in the right direction for the football program as well as the university as a whole."

The conference is presented by the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills Program and aims to enhance the leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills of student -athletes. Anderson will participate in daily exercises and activities to help the student-athletes develop as individuals and as contributing members to a group as part of the five-day conference.

"The conference provides a great learning experience for all student -athletes. It also allows the exchange of different ideas and programs that we take part in at our respected university," states Anderson about the opportunity to work with other student-athletes.

Football coach Tim Miller is very proud of what Anderson has done for the football program.  "Jarryd has worked extremely hard at helping us promote our football philosophy of winning in all aspects.  He has done a great job with our community service projects, improving his academic standing and serving on several campus committees.  Jarryd is a great representative of our University.  Our program is very proud of him."
