PHILADELPHIA, PA - La Salle University held it's 144th Commencement Ceremony last weekend, graduating the La Salle Class of 2007.
Among the school's 1100 graduating students, 68 of those not only earned their degrees, but also competed in one of the university's 23 NCAA sports.
Of those athletes, Kate Dobransky was chosen to lead the entire La Salle community in the closing prayer of graduation last Sunday. Among the several athletes who earned academic and athletic awards throughout the year, also honored at the end of the Spring semester were
Christina Tofani and
Ashley Cassel. Tofani received the Scholar Athlete of the Year Award from La Salle as well as the Academic Excellence Award from the Department of Biology. Cassel received the Academic Excellence Award from the Criminal Justice Deparment as well.
La Salle University Athletics would like to thank and congratulate all of the graduates of 2007 and wish them the best of luck in the future.
