PHILADELPHIA, PA - When the going gets tough, the La Salle University football team is there to help. That's exactly what many incoming freshmen learned on their first day of college as the Explorers were waiting to help the newcomers move in.

The football team got a quick lesson in the La Sallian tradition of service as the players lifted mini-fridges, futons, and other necessities for college living.

Head coach Tim Miller joked, "If this football thing doesn't work out for me, maybe I'll start a moving business."

The team is gearing up for football home-opener on Thursday, August 30th at 7:30 PM vs. Ursinus. There will be a series of events leading up to the night game, including carnival-like atmosphere with face-painting, sumo wrestling and a performance by the cheerleaders and dance team.
