Playing at the Oakland Tournament, the La Salle volleyball team fell to the host Grizzlies on Friday evening, 3-0.

The Explorers were never able to get on track, falling 30-19, 30-14 and 30-17 in the three-game sweep.

Christa Dominick had eight kills to lead La Salle in the defeat.

Freshmen Kayla Beck and Carly Conlon had 16 and 10 digs, respectively. Conlon added 23 assists in the losing effort.

La Salle will take on Toledo and Saint Francis (Pa.) tomorrow in the tournament's second day. The Explorers square off against the Rockets at 10 a.m., and face the Red Flash at 5 p.m.
