La Salle Field Hockey Clinic 2008
Head Coach Sarah Catlin has announced a busy spring schedule for the La Salle University field hockey team, highlighted by an instructional clinic to be held on Sunday, April 6th.
The clinic, which will take place at Hank De Vincent Field, is an opportunity for young field hockey players to receive instruction from La Salle players and coaches. It will be comprised of two sessions, beginning with a morning session for youths in grades 4 through 8 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. The afternoon session will be for those in grades 9 through 12, starting at 12:00 and ending at 3:00 PM. An individual session for goalkeepers will be held by former La Salle goalie and current assistant coach Colleen Bolger.
Registration for the event will cost $30 per athlete participating in the morning session and $45 for those in the afternoon. The cost will include a La Salle Field Hockey Clinic t-shirt.
In addition to the clinic, the Explorers have announced their 2008 spring schedule, starting with the La Salle Indoor Tournament on March 15th. The tournament will include Delaware, Rider, Saint Joseph's, Villanova and the current Explorers team, as well as a team comprised of La Salle alums.
On April 5th, the Explorers will participate in the City 6 Tournament, held at Temple University. The following week, the Blue and Gold will travel to Lehigh for a Seven vs. Seven tournament.
La Salle wraps up its spring schedule on April 20th with the Drexel Invitational.
