Philadelphia, PA -  La Salle University Athletics is pleased to announce that the Philadelphia Big 5 will include Explorer great Donnie Carr in its Class of 2008 inductees later this month.

At the conclusion of his career Carr was the school's fourth all-time leading scorer with 2,067 points and has been passed since only by current NBA player Rasual Butler.

Carr was the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year in 1997 and made All-A-10 selections in each of the follwing three seasons.

The induction luncheon will be held on Friday, January 18th at The Palestra with another ceremony taking place at halftime of the Saint Joseph's-Penn Big 5 match-up the following night.
