Cincinnati, OH - The La Salle volleyball team took a trip to Ohio for the weekend as they ventured on a two-game road swing, however their first match ended in a loss on Friday as they fell to Xavier, 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-18).

Senior Jackie Kushman was the only participant in the match to reach 20-plus digs, finishing with 21 on the evening, and junior Rachel Stemper followed right behind her with 10 digs of her own. Both players combined for nine of their team's 21 kills, while Stemper added both a solo and an assisted block.

Sophomore Carly Conlon led with a team-high 12 assists while also adding four digs and senior Christa Dominick tallied three kills, three assisted blocks, two digs, a service ace and a solo block.

On the Musketeer side, sophomore Claire Paszkiewicz contributed 13 digs and 12 assists and junior Kelly Ruth added to Xavier's victory with seven kills and 11 digs. Senior Jenn Welsh led everyone in the match with 30 assists.

The Explorers (5-16, 1-5) travel to the University of Dayton on Saturday as they prepare to face the Flyers before returning back to Philadelphia for the final two home matches of the season.
