PHILADELPHIA - Senior Korey Edwards was named Co-Performer of the Week by the Atlantic 10 Conference on Monday afternoon.

The Morris Plains, N.J., native earned his first conference honor of the season for his eighth place finish out of 306 runners at the prestigious Penn State National Open last Friday. Edwards crossed the finish line in 25:27, just 17 seconds off the top time of the meet.

The senior harrier paced the regionally sixth-ranked Explorers to a sixth place team finish out of 28 competing teams in the field.

Edwards and the Explorers will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 1st, as they head to Charlotte, N.C., for the 2008 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships.
