PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle men's and women's rowing teams were in action at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Saturday. The Explorers, led by the women's novice four boat's second place finish, completed a successful day of racing.

The Explorers had five boats racing in windy and wet weather on the Schuylkill River, including the men's and women's varsity fours, men's and women's novice eights and the women's novice fours.

The men's varsity fours completed the course in 17:00.70 for eighth place out of 21 boats, while the novice eights finished 10th out of 31 boats with a time of 14:32.79.

On the women's side, the varsity fours raced to an 18th place finish out of 26 teams. They completed the course in 19:50.39. The novice fours finished second out of 13 teams in their race with a time of 19:24.18. The novice eight boat's time of 19:04.01 garnered 21st place out of 37 boats.

The Explorers have one race left in their fall season as they return to the Schuylkill River on Saturday, Nov. 8th, for the Frostbite Regatta.
