PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle men's track team was predicted to finish third in the Atlantic 10 Conference, while the women were picked to finish seventh, by a poll of the conference coaches.

The men's team returns six All-Conference First Team honorees from a squad that placed third in the Atlantic 10 last year. Jared Davis, Andrew Maxwell and Steve Rendall return after winning the 4x400 meter relay title last year. Korey Edwards, Joe Fedorowicz and Stephen O'Donnell return as the defending conference champion in the distance medley relay. Fedorowicz is also coming off of an indoor 1000 meter title.

On the women's side, four All-Conference First Team honorees return to anchor the Explorers. Returnees include Kathleen Boland, Kellilyn Fierras and Meaghan Hobson, who ran to a title in the distance medley relay last year. Christa Plummer also returns for her senior season after winning the 3000 meter indoor title.

The 2008-09 indoor season officially kicks off on Dec. 5th at the Jack Pyrah Invitational at Haverford College.
