Explorers Complete Tri-Meet at Delaware

Newark, DE – The La Salle swimming & diving team took part in a three-team meet at the University of Delaware on Saturday. The women defeated Rider (153-147) and lost to Delaware (189-106) and the men lost to both Delaware (176-124) and Rider (174-126).

Junior Shannon Duval, who finished in first place in the women’s 200-yard breaststroke, broke her own school record with a time of 2:17.17. Duval also picked up first place honors in the women’s 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.25) and second place honors in the women’s 200-yard IM (2:09.01).

Senior David Ellerson picked up two first place finishes in both the men’s 100-yard breaststroke (59.73) and the men’s 200-yard breaststroke (2:11.53). Freshman Eric Patenaude followed up with the second place time, behind Ellerson, in the men’s 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.15) and the men’s 200-yard breaststroke (2:12.08).

Freshman Jordan Baker finished third in both the men’s 1-meter diving event (258.35) and the men’s 3-meter diving event (233.90).

The La Salle swimming & diving team travel to the Kinney Natorium on Friday as they take part in the Bucknell Trials.
