Southampton, PA – The La Salle men’s and women’s tennis teams held their annual fundraiser at the Southampton Tennis Club on Saturday which raised money for their yearly spring break tennis trip.

The event, which attracted 57 attendants, was a gathering of family, friends, former players and supporters of the La Salle tennis program. Many former players, who were present at the event, were impressed with the remarkable turnout on Saturday evening.

Aside from interacting with each other over the course of the night, members of the La Salle tennis teams and the event’s attendants had the opportunity to play on the indoor clay courts. “The teams did a great job putting the party together,” said La Salle men’s tennis head coach Ed Colfer.

“The players made the calls, mailed the invitations and interacted with the guests. The players on this year’s teams are very reasonable young men and women. I am very proud of what the players do on and off the courts.”
