PHILADELPHIA - The men's cross country 'B' squad ran at the IC4A Championship at New York's Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday and finished ninth out of 15 in the team standings.
Sophomore Patrick McAllister led the way for the Explorers with a 32nd overall place out of 129 runners. McAllister completed the five-mile course in 25:58.
Thomas Pannulla followed close behind for a 35th place finish by running a time of 26:01, while Andrew Wagoner rounds out the top three Explorer finishes with a 45th place showing of 26:09.
Also scoring for the Explorers was David Hausherr (53rd, 26:16), James Mauro (62nd, 26:16), Matt Mitchell (79th, 26:45) and Robert Ricketts (84th, 26:47).
The field of competition at the IC4A's was led by Duke, with Duquesne and Marist rounding out the top three teams.
Although the cross country season has come to a close for the Explorers, the indoor track & field season is just two weeks away. The Explorers open up the indoor season at nearby Haverford College on Dec. 5th.
