Frostbite Regatta Results
PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle rowing program closed out its fall season at the Frostbite Regatta on Saturday morning. Conditions were overcast and rainy on the Schuylkill River for the Explorers' eight boats in competition.
The Explorers were led by the women's novice eight B boat, which finished third in its final. They crossed the finish line in 11:57.66. The A boat finished second in the C final with a time of 9:02.39.
The women's varsity fours came in fifth in the C final with a time of 8:59.3.
On the men's side, the Explorers were paced by the novice eights who finished first in the C final. The Explorers clocked in at 6:42.66. Also in competition for the men was the varsity fours and novice eight B boat. The varsity fours placed third in the C final with a time of (7:36.45) while the novice eight B squad finished third in the D final (7:34.61).
The men's varsity eights made it to the C final, but did not race.
The Explorers completed the fall portion of their 2008-09 season today, but they will return to action in January for their winter training trip. Stay tuned to GoExplorers.com for the release of the spring schedule.
