Binghamton Bearcats (3-4, 0-0)
Conference: America East

The Binghamton Bearcats enter this game after defeating Niagara on the road Monday, 83-65. Entering Saturday’s contest with La Salle, the momentum could not be any higher for the Bearcats after coming off their highest point total (83) against Niagara since March 4, 2006 when Binghamton defeated Vermont, 83-49. In the victory, junior Erica Carter scored a game-high and career-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting which included four three-pointers. Carter is ranked first on the team in scoring with 11.7 points per game, on 42.1 percent shooting. Freshman Andrea Holmes went 4-for-6 from the field for 16 points and dished out a game-high five assists. Holmes is third on the team in scoring (8.7) and leads all Bearcats with 22 total assists. Junior Darryll Peterson was one rebound shy of a double-double, ending with 11 points and nine rebounds. Through seven games, Peterson is averaging 7.1 points and 6.7 boards. Freshman Viive Rebane finished with only six points in the Niagara victory, however, she is shooting 52.5 percent from the field this season.

Eye on an Explorer: Ashley Gale
Sophomore Ashley Gale was one of four Explorers to score in double figures on Wednesday, finishing with 14 points. Gale is third on the team in scoring with 10.1 points per game and is averaging 2.8 boards per contest. Gale, who connected on four three-pointers against Morgan State, is shooting 33.3 percent from beyond the arc this season. Gale has nearly doubled her scoring after averaging 5.2 points last season.

Key Matchup: Jamie Walsh vs. Muffy Sadler
Jamie Walsh, one of the elite three-point shooters in the Atlantic 10, goes up against a great perimeter shooter from Binghamton, Muffy Sadler. Walsh is second on the team in scoring (10.6), second in field-goal percentage (.417) and third in three-point percentage (.372). Walsh has made all but one free throw on the season and is dishing out a team-best 3.3 assists per game.
