PHILADELPHIA - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has revealed its 2008 College Team Academic Award winners and both the Men's and Women's La Salle University Soccer teams were among those recognized.

There were a total of 370 soccer teams (107 men, 263 women) that posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2007-08 academic year.

Of that total, just 63 schools - which includes La Salle University - had both their men's and women's programs recognized. The Explorers are the only team from the Atlantic 10 Conference to have both teams earn the honor. The complete list of all the schools can be viewed at the following site - NCSAA release.

The La Salle women's team posted a 3.07 GPA for the academic year, while the men's team earned a 3.00.
