Philadelphia, PA- Team members from the La Salle University Varsity Volleyball Team hosted a clinic during an afternoon gym class at Logan Elementary. The players taught the children different drills and techniques to use to sharpen their volleyball skills. Showing them the basics of the sport was a fun way to involve the class in an energetic activity while also promoting interest in Volleyball. Christa Dominick, Rachel Stemper and Carly Conlon were the student athletes in attendance who contributed to this educational activity. Afterwards each Logan student also received a volleyball media guide, compliments of the team.
This clinic was one of the many athletic team clinics held throughout the school year. They are all apart of the Adopt-a-School program initiated by the La Salle University Athletic Department's Community Service section called Project Teamwork. The Volleyball Team has been very active in Project Teamwork. During the holidays they ran a gift-wrapping event for Don Tollefson's One Child Saved non-profit.
