Myrtle Beach, SC - Senior Chris Caimano finished ninth in the field of 56 golfers at the ten-team Fairfield Invitational held at Crown Park Golf Club.

Caimano's 79 was the top score among the five La Salle golfers in the event that was shortened to one round.

Also competing were Phil Bruce who finished 30th with an 85, Mike Benzinger whose 87 was good for 41st and Matt Mazzola and Steve Sieracki whosew 89's tied them for 49th.

Lewis University won the event with a team score of 313 and host Fairfield tied for second with Harvard at 322.

The La Salle team score of 340 was good for eighth place in the event.
