La Salle Tracksters Earn National Rankings in Respective Events

PHILADELPHIA, PA-  La Salle University's Outdoor Track runners senior Sean Quigley (Braintree, MA/Archbishop Williams) and graduate student Joseph Dare (Souderton, PA/Souderton) have both been ranked in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coach's Association (USTFCCCA) Division I Pre-Season rankings for their respective events.

 

Quigley is a six-time All American who will be entering his final season of competition for the Explorers.  He is currently nationally ranked in three events- the 1500m, 5K and 10K.  In the 10K the senior is fourth in the nation (28:29.16).  Dare is 25th in the same event (29:25.84).

 

In the 5K, Quigley is ranked 13th in the nation (13:53.54), while his 1500m time (3:43.95) is good enough for 28th.  Both his 10K and 5K times are La Salle school records. 

 

The Explorers begin the outdoor season this weekend at the Maryland Invitational in College Park, MD on Saturday March 29th.
