Complete Results

PHILADELPHIA - La Salle University Rowing competed in its first event of Spring 2008, Saturday, putting four boats into the water in the Murphy Cup on the Schuylkill River.

The event featured 63 total races, and the first one for the Explorers was Race #33 - the Women's JV Eight, which finished fifth in its heat in a time of 7:52.0.

Three races later, the Men's JV Eight raced to a third-place finish in 6:32.78, just four seconds out of second place (Williams) and 11 seconds behind the winner, Delaware (6:21.47).

The Women's Varsity Eight was the next boat for La Salle in Race #38. The Explorers took fourth in their heat in a time of 7:14.19, finishing just ahead of Loyola.

In the final La Salle race (#44), the Men's Varsity Eight finished fifth, crossing the line in 6:30.56.

Next up for La Salle is the Presidents Cup on the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, NY next Saturday, April 5.
