PHILADELPHIA, PA- Senior Explorer distance runner Sean Quigley (Braintree, MA/ Archbishop Williams) was recently featured in the two biggest newspapers in Philadelphia- the Inquirer and the Daily News. Clink on the links above to read the full articles.
Over the weekend the six-time All-American raced to a second-place finish (14:07.63)at NCAA East Regionals, behind Villanova's Bobby Curtis- earning NCAA All-East honors along the way (the top eight finishers in each event automatically qualify for the All-East team).
Quigley will be the lone Explorer representing La Salle at next week's NCAA Outdoor Track National Championships, held on June 11th-14th at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. The 10K race will be held on Thursday, June 12th at 9:50 PM EST.
After the NCAA season is over, Quigley will be gearing up for the Olympic Trials- which he qualified in both the 5K an 10K, held June 27th- July 6th at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field. The men's 10K will be held on Friday night, July 4th at 12:20 AM EST, while the 5K semifinal will be on Friday, June 27th at 11:40 PM EST.
