PHILADELPHIA, PA -­­­ Emma Ruth turned away all six shots and three La Salle Explorers recorded their first goals of the season in a 5-0 victory over Bryant on Tuesday afternoon at Hank DeVincent Field.

Amanda Howard started the scoring when she took a shot set up by Haley Froshour at the top of the circle on the Explorers' second corner of the game.

Christy Miller found the cage with a scorcher from ten feet out after being set up by Beth Carey to give
La Salle (3-6) a 2-0 lead with six minutes and 35 seconds left in the half.

Lindsay Fry closed out the first frame with an unassisted score three minutes and eights seconds before halftime to make the score 3-0.

Bryant (1-7) made a goalkeeping change to start the second half replacing Mawemi Kundaya, who faced 10 first-half shots, with Jennifer Gullotti who also saw ten shots in the second half.

Adriana Lalli scored 14 minutes and 34 seconds into the second half with an assist from Amanda Howard and Maria Allegretto deflected the final goal of the game at the 69:36 mark when she got her stick on Whitney Madron's well struck shot.

The Explorers will return to action on Friday afternoon when they host Lehigh at 4:00 PM at DeVincent Field.
