PHILADELPHIA - La Salle has competed in two cross country meets so far this season and for the second time its student-athletes earned honors from the Atlantic 10 Conference for their performances. Tyler Jones earned his second league honor on Monday, while Caitlin Storbeck earned her first career league honor.
Storbeck led the Explorer women in the 6K race of the Colonial Inter-Regional at the College of William & Mary on Saturday with a 23rd place finish out of 89 runners. That marked the second time in two meets that the freshman finished first among the Explorers. Storbeck's time of 23:29 also equaled her mark at Princeton two weeks ago.
Jones earned his second league honor for his 26th place finish out of 106 runners at William & Mary. His time of 25:59 in the 8K race was third among the Explorers.
Storbeck, Jones and the Explorers return to action on Friday at Lehigh University's Paul Short Invitational.
