PHILADELPHIA - This year marked the 30th anniversary of the 1978 men's soccer squad that earned a trip to the NCAA tournament. The members of that team were honored this past Sunday at halftime of the men's basketball game against Temple.

That Explorers squad won its last five games, including a 3-1 upset over Rider, to earn an invitation to the 24-team tournament. The team also upset nationally ranked Penn to open that season.

The La Salle men's soccer program wishes to thank the team members in attendance on Sunday:
