PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Explorer field Hockey players Whitney Madron (Rising Sun, MD/Rising Sun) and Haley Froshour (Richboro, PA/Council Rock North) were named to the 2008 All-Philadelphia team.

The 14-member team honors the best among the six Division I field hockey schools in the Philadelphia area.

Madron, a senior midfielder, started all 19 games for the Explorers and was third on the team in minutes played with 1,239.   Madron snapped of 17 shots, placing ten on goal.

Froshour is a junior back/midfielder who also started all 19 games and led the team in minutes played with 1,362.

Each player registered a defensive save on the season.
