PHILADELPHIA - La Salle freshman Rebecca Chylack was named the Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Co-Rookie of the Week, the league office announced today. Chylack had scored her eighth goal of the season on Friday against West Chester, breaking the program record for points by a freshman with 19.

The Souderton, PA native leads the team in goals, points, shots (40) and defensive saves (three). She is tied for second in points and goals in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Chylack shares the weekly award with West Chester's Melissa LeNoir.

The Explorers (5-9, 0-1 A-10) visit Richmond on Friday at 3:30 PM.
