PHILADELPHIA - La Salle Athletics will be hosting the third and final "Countdown to Tip-Off" event at the General Lafayette Inn from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday. November 5. The men's and women's basketball teams are ready to jump start their 2009-10 seasons, and Dr. John Giannini and Tom Lochner will be available to meet fans and supporters of the Explorer basketball programs and answer questions. Lochner and the Explorer women's basketball team will open their regular season schedule with a matchup with Loyola (MD) on the eve of Homecoming, Friday, November 13 at 7:00 pm. Giannini will lead the Explorer men's basketball squad as they they take on the Hampton Pirates at Tom Gola Arena on Homecoming, Saturday, November 14 at 3:00 pm. There will be an alumni party from12:00 pm to 2:30 pm on the tennis courts. For more information about Homecoming, please click here.

Prior to their season openers, both men's and women's basketball teams will host exhibition games against Holy Family. The women's game takes place at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 6 at Tom Gola Arena. The men's basketball team hosts their exhibition on Saturday, November 7 at 2:00 pm. Admission to the exhibition games is free of charge.
