LEWISBURG, PA – The La Salle swimming & diving team took part in Day One of the Bucknell Trials on Friday. After the first day’s action, the men currently sit in third-place with 276 points and the women are placed in fourth with 282.5 points.
In the 200-yard free relay, both the men (1:24.19) and women (1:36.06) picked up second-place times. The women would also go on to place second in the 400-yard medley relay (3:53.08) and the men would finish in fourth in the same event (3:26.73).
After helping the women in both the 200-yard free and 400-yard medley relay, senior Shannon Duval would go on to record second-place honors in the 200-yard IM (2:04.08). Her time in the event set a school record.
Sophomore Emily Heath placed third in the 500-yard free (4:54.11), junior Holly Biro finished in fourth-place in the 50-yard free (24.31) and freshman Zach Anderson rounded out in fourth in the 500-yard free (4:38.96).
The Explorers return to action tomorrow for the second day of the Bucknell Trials.
