Fall 2008 Commissioner's Honor Roll

Philadelphia, PA – Atlantic 10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade today announced the A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the 2008 Fall semester. Of the 1,162 selected members, 110 represented La Salle University. In order to be recognized by the conference, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale.

To this date, La Salle student-athletes and their respective sports have received over 10 academic awards for the 2008-09 school year.

Cross Country: Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area (Mary Clare Parrot).

Field Hockey: Atlantic 10 All-Academic (Maria Allegretto, Haley Froshour, Emma Ruth), Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area (Whitney Madron), Women’s Field Hockey.com Weekly Honor Roll (Kara Harpel).

Men’s Soccer: NSCAA Team Academic Award (second straight year), CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District (Andrew Bernhard – First Team, Mid-Atlantic), NSCAA/Adidas Scholar All-East Region (Andrew Bernhard – Third Team, Jim Davis – Third Team, Ryan Tadley – Honorable Mention), Atlantic 10 All-Academic (Andrew Bernhard), Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area (Andrew Bernhard).

Women’s Soccer: NSCAA Team Academic Award (fifth straight year).

Volleyball: CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District (Christa Dominick – Second Team, Mid-Atlantic), Atlantic 10 All-Academic (Christa Dominick).
