PHILADELPHIA - Rodney Green (Philadelphia, PA/Prep Charter) was named the Big 5 Player of the Week for his performances at George Washington and against Saint Joseph's last week.

Green's led the Explorers past Saint Joseph's for the second time in as many tries. His 20 points marked his tenth 20-point performance of the season. Green's two consecutive 3-pointers in the first half were the tying and go-ahead scores as the Explorers battled back from 12 down to take control of the game. He also added three assists, three steals and two rebounds.

Green also scored 14 points on 8-for-8 shooting from the free throw line at George Washington on Wednesday. He also pulled down seven rebounds in the Explorers' second consecutive win at GW's Smith Center, and added three assists and one steal.

Marshall Harris of Comcast SportsNet came to campus to visit with Green and will run a feature during tonight's 10:00 PM airing of SportsNite.

The Explorers return to the court on Wednesday as they host Richmond at 7:00 PM in Tom Gola Arena.
