Buffalo, NY -  Three school records were broken after the first day of competition at the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships held at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center.

The women's 200 meter relay team of Carleen Caldwell, Shannaon Duval, Alex Stoddart and Holly Biro finished fifth with a school record of 1:44.95.

The men's 200m relay team also set a school mark as David Ellerson, Dustin Gibb, Owen Black and Matt Hartner took fourth in 1:31.89.

Also setting a school mark was the 800m freestyle relay team of Caldwell, Duval, Biro and Emily Heath who took seventh in 7:37.32.

Divers Laurie McLaughlan (7th) and Tanya Lindenmuth (13th) also competed in the 1-meter Dive.

After the first day the men sit in fourth place in team competition with the women posting at fifth.

Championship competition continues through Saturday.
