PHILADELPHIA - Senior Steven Rendall hurdled to another IC4A qualifying mark at Friday's prestigious New Balance Invitational at the Armory in New York City. His time of 8.17 in the 60 meter hurdle preliminaries was his sixth IC4A mark of the season.

Rendall finished tops in his heat, besting No. 6 Florida State's Pelle Rietveld by seven-hundredths of a second. His time was 18th overall in the field of 83 hurdlers.

Three more Explorers will be competing in Saturday's session. David Alfano is scheduled to run the 3,000 meter race at approximately 1:07 PM, Meaghan Hobson will run the 800 around 2:06 PM and Christa Plummer will wrap up the races in New York in the women's 3,000 meters at approximately 4:05 PM.
