Philadelphia, PA - The La Salle men's tennis team, after competing on the road for seven matches, returned home on Sunday and defeated Elizabethtown, 7-2. Including the fall season, the Explorers are 6-2 when playing at home.
"I'm looking for everyone to play at a high level," said La Salle Head Coach Ed Colfer. "Today's performance showed that."
The Explorers won the last five singles with sophomore Andy Petrusky and freshman Morgan Abrams-Nicholas winning their sets 6-3, 6-0 respectively. La Salle went on to win No. 1 doubles with the help of sophomore George Gennaoui and junior Jon Maula, 8-1, and No. 3 doubles with senior Chris Butera and Abrams-Nicholas, 8-4.
The Explorers (2-6) remain at home for the next three matches with Saint Francis (PA) visiting first on Saturday for a 11:00 AM start.
