Complete Atlantic 10 Release
PHILADELPHIA - Senior distance runner Christa Plummer reeled in another honor on Wednesday as she was named to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference team.
Plummer has had a terrific season on the track. She won her second straight Atlantic 10 indoor 3,000 meter title at the conference championship two weeks ago and ran ECAC-qualifying times in all five of her races so far this season. In addition to her A-10 title, she was the top collegiate finisher in the 5,000 meter run at Boston University's Terrier Invitational on Jan. 23rd. Plummer also ran a sub-five-minute mile at the Armory on Feb. 13th.
In the classroom, she owns a 3.19 GPA in the biology program and intends on pursuing an accelerated nursing degree at Drexel University after her May graduation.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Conference Team, members must be nominated by their respective schools, have at least a 3.0 GPA and be a key performer on the team.
